The Crawford Metal Plane in Head-on-View looks quite elegant with the possible exception of the undercarriage, but strange for the period was the Gnome rotary engine. -

Регистрационный номер: X5563 [4] With makeshift chocks the Metal Plane is parked out ready to fly. Unfortunately it appears that no in-flight photographs were taken of this purely experimental aircraft but from this angle you can readily imagine it formating on your tail.
